06x Finding and Replacing Text

 

Exercises.

  1. In Word type the following text:

    2. I had a wonderful day today. I woke up bright and early and went for a run in the park. It was so early there were not many people around. The sun was still rising and there was dew on the grass. When I got back home I looked around the garden and I was so pleased to see the aubergine plant had flowered. I watered the pepper plants in the greenhouse and planted three flowers. I had lunch in the garden as it was a lovely sunny day, then had a nap in the early afternoon. By about 4 o'clock I had hoovered downstairs and started cooking. My two best friends came over for dinner and I served up three delicious courses. We had a really good chat and it was a great way to end a wonderful day.

  2. The word 'wonderful' appears once. Find the first appearance.
  3. Replace it with the word 'fantastic'.
  4. The word 'three' appears more than once. Replace all appearances with the word 'two'.
  5. Replace the words 'aubergine plant' with 'apple tree'.
  6. If you want to, save the file as 'Wonderful Day' in your folder.
  7. Close Word.
