10 Setting worksheet scaling

The aim of the tutorial is to:

explain how to use the Page Setup box to set the scaling of a worksheet prior to printing from Excel.

 

Worksheet scaling

The Page Setup box contains a Page tab that allows you to set the scaling of a worksheet:

 

The data on the worksheet can be scaled up or down and set to fit on specified numbers of pages.

To set the scaling of a worksheet:

  1. Open up the Page Setup box.
  2. Ensure that the Page tab is uppermost.
  3. Click on the circle next to Adjust to: so that a black dot appears in it and then use the up and down pointing triangles to increase or decrease the scaling.

    Or

    Click on the circle next to Fit to: so that a black dot appears in it and then use the up and down pointing triangles to set the number of pages the worksheet should fit.
  4. Click OK.
    The box will disappear from the screen and the new scaling will be set.
